Overcoming growth barriers by replatforming to Shopify Plus
The brief
Cloud Nine was tied to a specialist agency using the Expression Engine platform, which constrained their innovation and growth, misaligning with their future vision. To achieve their goals, a more personalised and enjoyable shopping experience was needed.
The solution
To address their website limitations, we replatformed Cloud Nine to the scalable and easy-to-manage Shopify Plus platform. This shift allowed them to benefit from Shopify's additional features, including ten storefronts with a built-in currency converter and Geo IP functionality, enhancing their global reach and customer convenience.
We integrated with third-party apps for reviews, site search, personalisation, and payment, overhauling the shopping experience to make it more seamless and user-friendly. These integrations ensured a smoother, more engaging customer journey from browsing to purchase.
Additionally, new functionality was built for product pages, such as a comparison feature and product registration, to support customers post-purchase. Leveraging inspirational Instagram content shared onsite, they further enriched the shopping experience by connecting with their audience on a more personal and inspirational level.

The result
Cloud Nine can now react fast, leveraging regional demand in a matter of weeks. With one master framework supporting global expansion, they have already launched sites in the UK and Australia, with four additional international sites in the pipeline.
