Creating a physical showroom experience for an online, global audience
The brief
Supplying an extensive product range to architects, specifiers and individuals all around the world, Havwoods were struggling to manage their multitude of websites across key global territories leading to brand inconsistencies and a poor user experience.
Bringing together a disparate set of website requirements into a single global solution which can meet the different needs of each individual market, minimising the administrative overheads and providing flexibility to manage their digital estate “in-house”. The new global website needed to embody their premium proposition, showcasing their extensive product portfolio and articulating their brand experience. A key challenge of the project was taking a physical showroom experience and translating it online. Providing users with the same rich and immersive experience and helpful resources, enabling them to find the right product for them, without needing to leave the house/office.
Creating an efficient, simple and tailored user experience across the Havwoods website was a critical requirement. Catering for a global audience across a range of industries meant that existing inconsistencies across Havwoods product and branded content needed to be addressed.
The solution
Havwoods prides itself on delivering a truly personal service, the new website needed to reflect this through a highly adaptable CMS based on the requirements of the varying audience. A move to Kentico 12 MVC was proposed to manage Havwoods multitude of sites from one centralised solution, allowing them to quickly and easily modify content based on the audience type and locality, in turn, aligning their online brand proposition. User experience was central to the project, providing insights into user requirements which helped to inform the interactive functionalities we developed to guide users on their journey to find the perfect floor.
Through bespoke customisation, personalised features can now be enjoyed across the website, adapting the experience based on individual customer needs. New functionalities such as a highly visual ‘Inspire Me’ section, interactive ‘Floor Finder’ and immersive ‘Showroom Tour’ are just a few of the new engaging functionalities we implemented to translate the physical shopping experience online.
The results
Regaining control and flexibility over their content, Havwoods have elevated their premium brand positioning, providing consistency across their global websites, which has in turn had a positive impact on conversion rates, online marketing capabilities and new customer revenue.
The new website acts as a digital showroom, beautifully showcasing their extensive range of products, enabling Havwoods to increase their global reach even further than the geographies of their physical stores. Thanks to the implementation of a range of innovative and interactive functionalities, the new Havwoods website site provides valued users with enhanced experiences, carefully developed to meet their varying requirements.
