National digital agency idhl secured revenues of £37.8m and won a raft of high profile clients in 2023, paving the way for its upcoming brand consolidation and US expansion this year.

Reporting on the year-ended December 31 2023, idhl achieved a 2% growth in revenue - up from £36.9m in 2022. idhl specialises in performance media, eCommerce, web development, data and email marketing to help brands and businesses achieve accelerated growth in the digital economy.

The solid performance in 2023 was driven by several new client wins including Costa, Faberge and Church and Dwight. idhl, previously known as idhl Group, also retained established clients such as Hammonds and Leeds United FC.

During the year, idhl hired Ben Wood as CEO to bolster idhl’s expansion and ensure that the agency is at the cutting edge of the evolving digital media industry. Wood is a senior advertising practitioner with more than 30 years’ experience on the global stage and previously held the position of VP of Agencies at Meta. Other notable hires during 2023 included Sharon Palmer, who joined as Client Success Director and has since been promoted to Director, Group Accounts and Client Success.

The national agency, which now employs around 400 people and has offices in London, Harrogate, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, has achieved both organic and acquisitive growth in recent years. It is currently in the process of bringing brands WMG, Ingenuity Digital, Equation, Statement, NetConstruct, Pinpoint, Ampersand and Conesso under its main title. Fostr, which idhl acquired in 2021, will remain in situ due to its specialisms in fashion, beauty and luxury sectors.

idhl, one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent digital agencies, has had a strong start to 2024. The agency is also set to expand to the US this year, recently hiring Sam Ogrizovic as Director of International to establish and lead a New York office.

Ben Wood, CEO at idhl, said:
“idhl operates in a dynamic and exciting digital media environment and our fantastic team of experts continue to deliver the very best, impactful results for our growing client roster. This has translated into another year of growth and that’s testament to the fantastic team we have at idhl. 2024 is already shaping up to be an exciting year, as we consolidate all divisions, expand into new territories and continue to accelerate our growth at pace.”
